Pro Radar: Kauli Seadi

We tune into the jet set lifestyle of the PWA’s reigning World Wave Champion, Mr. Kauli Seadi.

“At the moment I'm on a trip around the Virgin Islands with my friends from Destino Azul (Diogo and Flavio) and the Mormaii crew. We’ve been scoring some really fun conditions for windsurfing and Sup.

So far we have seen Virgin Gorda and Anegada. Virgin Gorda is amazing, probably as close to paradise as you can get, with beautiful landscapes and amazing azure water. I guess that’s why we found the 6th biggest private yacht in the world here, 460 foot!

Next we moved into Island Anegada. It’s exactly what I was looking for, that place has the kind of waves that you find in very few spots, with perfect side-off wind and clean pealing waves. We’d barely anchored the boat before I was heading directly to the water to sail for the entire morning.

In the afternoon it was time to go do some SUP as the winds became lighter. For our happiness the next day we got even got more waves, and glassy, so we ended up doing a 4 hour SUP session.

After that we cruised Tortola, and other islands in the BVI’s before moving to the USVI, where we scored on the north shore of Saint Thomas. It was a big day of swell,  unfortunately the winds were too light to windsurf, but they were offshore coming from the south which is rare, meaning we got a glassy surf and SUP session.

These island are perfect:  surf, peace, no crowds and lobsters as the sunset!

Now it’s time to go home, but the good thing is that Cabo Verde PWA event is coming up soon and forecast looks good for wind and waves!”

Kauli Seadi is sponsored by JP Boards, NeilPryde Sails, MFC fins and Mormaii surfwear.
