Carter Backed Into The Corner

The PWA’s illusive photojournalist John Carter takes five to divulge his deepest darkest secrets in the ‘Starboard Corner’.

Highly acclaimed for producing some of the most striking windsurfing images ever shot, John Carter is the PWA’s photographic top dog / workaholic slave to the lens.

Responsible for shooting the entirety of the PWA’s photographic output from the World Tour’s roving competition sites, JC will happily testify that the windsurfing industry isn’t all sun, sand and relaxing from his side of the lens.

When not getting demolished by the PWA’s highly competitive chairman, Jimmy Diaz, at their now legendary table tennis showdowns, JC works tirelessly from sun rise to sunset producing the amazing images found here on the PWA’s website.

For an insight into the lifestyle of the PWA’s photographic martyr, Starboard’s Tiesda You managed to pin down the man behind the lens for a five minute interview covering everything from blagging free trips abroad, through to becoming one of the most respected photographers in the industry.
