Dany Days

Finally the wind gods gave top PWA wave sailor Dany Bruch the chance to sail his favourite north shore secret spots.

Professional sailor Dany Bruch (Exocet, Serverne, MFC) is lucky enough to live next door to one of the best windsurfing spots in the canaries for most of the year. Cabezo isn’t the most radical of places to sail though, so when the chance arises for a quick trip to Tenerife’s north shore spots, Dany is the first man in the van.

Dany sent us this note along with this picture of him getting ridiculously tweaked:

We had a pretty bad winter last year with hardly any North Shore action due to very little swell and no wind. Luckily this winter has kicked off well with big swells rolling in one after the other. And what’s even more amazing is the wind came to join in too! Finally we managed to score one of the best secret spots in the North of the island.

I traveled up with a friend of mine and we sailed it for over 4 hours. We had so much fun! However, at the end of the day, after a few good washings and some amazing adrenaline highs, the wind died as usual and I had to de-rig on the water to paddle back for about 30 minutes – it’s all good training though…

After that day we had some more action at my home spot of Cabezo beach. It must have been blowing over 40 knots with some nice waves. On the Cabezo days I was out with a 4.0m S1 from Severne and the 68L Exocet U-Surf II Pro Edition and in the North I have been out with my 5.3m S1 from Severne and the 76L Exocet U-Surf II Pro edition.

See you on the water”

It sounds like the guys in the canaries are having a great winter. We hope you are too!
