Armenia-1

Sarah Hebert visits her adopted home land.

If you've ever wondered why top professional PWA women's slalom racer, Sarah Hebert (Naish, Naish) sails under the Armenian flag, simply check out her recent visit to the state in the October issue of Windsurfer International HERE.

Following a successful event in Turkey with a third place at the Pegasus Airlines World Cup, Hebert hit the road to Armenia to finally meet the people, and the nation, that she's been representing for the past few years.

Hebert actually got far more than she bargained for though. Not only did she catch up with the local kids learning to windsurf, but she also found herself knee-to-knee with the former Armenian President himself, who also happens to be a keen windsurfer!

Through a mixture of words, pictures, and video, Hebert recalls her visit, and tells the story of Armenia through her eyes.

Today also marks an important milestone in Hebert's attempt to cross the Atlantic later this winter. As part of her preparation, today she's windsurfing from Le Conquet to Ouessant and back again in France. Follow her progress HERE!
