Park Life

Dany Bruch hits the wave pool with his windsurfing gear at the Water Kingdom in Siam Park, Tenerife!

As if tow-in freestyle wasn't enough, Dany Bruch (Patrik, Severne, MFC) takes it one step further by pushing the boundaries in an artificial wave pool!

Bruch explains:

"I was searching for new stuff to do in the windsurfing world, and after I saw some footage of our PWA Tour mates, the Freestyler’s, at Podersdorf in Austria where they got towed by a jet ski without any wind it got me thinking. I had some friends who'd had some 'tow-out' sessions at the Siam Park with regular surf boards, so I thought, why not try this with my windsurfing gear?

During the day the Siam Park is a massive sick water park, with big slides and lots of entertainment, but after it shuts down in the evening, the amazing wave pool starts to work! I had a couple of days training on the open sea first, so that once we were in the pool we all knew our roles because space is limited there, and we only had a 2 hour time frame to put on a good show.

We arrived with a pretty big crew, two photographers, one camera man, the ski and driver, plus a couple of friends that couldn't let escape the chance to see how it would work out.

It was an enormous success! The e Canaries TV was present and we got some sick shots and footage of it all, so give it a bit of time and you'll see the whole story in German Surf's December issue, and the footage on most of the social network sites immediately afterwards.

Watch out for it and enjoy! Dany."
