Schliemann Signs With North

Germany’s rising star signs a new deal with North Sails for the 2011 PWA race season.

Nineteen year old Oliver-Tom Schliemann (Starboard / North) is no stranger to elite level racing having made his PWA debut in Sylt back in 2002. Since then he’s gone on to be crowned 6 x junior world champion and compete in the Olympic class RS:X youth world championship, so it comes as no surprise that one of the industry’s biggest players, North Sails have pledged their support for the up coming PWA season.

2011 will be OTS’ first full season competing on the PWA’s slalom circuit now that he’s wrapped up his schooling. With the support of North Sails he’ll join their highly acclaimed racing team, joining the likes of Jimmy Diaz (Starboard / North) and Cyril Moussilmani (Starboard / North) in their international racing lineup.

OTS commented:

“I am sure that i have found very good and professional partners with North Sails and Starboard, and hope for a good season in 2011.”
