PWA ISLAS CANARIAS AWARDS

Four new entries to open the week for the Islas Canarias PWA Windsurfing Excellence Awards

With only a few weeks remaining to enter the Islas Canarias PWA Windsurfing Excellence Awards, the entries continue to roll in. If you haven’t entered already then be sure to head over to the PWAsite and enter now, or you may miss out on the chance to enter.

Today sees four new entries for the awards, with two nominations apiece for both the five times PWA Freestyle World Champion Jose ‘Gollito’ Estredo (Fanatic / North) and the legendary Andre Paskowski.

The first nomination for Gollito comes for his outstanding new move, which he landed for the first time in competition in Fuerteventura earlier this year. The move is a double air flaka/shaka, and is now known as the Pasko. This was just one of the many moves, which helped Gollito to reclaim his world title, whilst also continuing to raise the bar in the freestyle world.

The Venezuelan’s second nomination is received for his mind blowing documentary, Rewarded, which was produced by his good friend Andre Paskowski and Manuel Grafenaeur. You can find out more about Rewarded here, if you have not seen it already, with interviews with both Paskowski and Estredo.

Meanwhile, Paskowski, receives his nominations, firstly, for his equally touching short documentary Magic Moments, which was filmed as a side project whilst in Fuerteventura. Paskowski has now become synonymous with windsurfing cinematography, so it seems fitting that he has also been nominated for the Outstanding Achievement in Windsurfing Cinematography Award.
