ESCAPING WINTER

Nicolas Akgazciyan escapes the European winter by heading to the tropical paradise of Aruba

With the European winter continuing to linger on Nicolas Akgazciyan (Starboard / Point-7 / Maui Ultra Fins) took the opportunity to escape the freezing cold weather by heading to the tropical paradise of Aruba.

Once on the beautiful blue waters of Aruba, Akgazciyan bursts into life with radical shuvit spocks, monster shakas and stunning combos such as spock-culos and flaka-shakas. The twenty-seven year old also throws in a move, which is a favourite amongst the crowds, the fully planing forward loop.

The Frenchman made a fantastic start to the 2012 season as he finished fifth at the opening event of the year, before finishing in ninth place at the PWA Fuerteventura Grand Slam. Unfortunately a serious ankle injury ended Akgazciyan’s season early, but he now looks backs to his brilliant best ahead of the 2013 season.
