RRD IN SYLT

How did the RRD team fare at the GP Joule PWA Sylt World Cup?

Justin Denel (RRD) attended the GP Joule PWA Sylt World Cup with ambitions of qualifying through the trials into the main draw of the men’s wave fleet. Unfortunately for the seventeen year old - and the rest of the wave sailors - there was a distinct lack of waves at this years event, but that didn’t stop Denel from producing a fantastic new video, featuring the RRD slalom and freestyle team.

Antoine Albeau (RRD / NeilPryde) was of course the standout sailor once more as he claimed back-to-back world titles after another flawless display. Julien Quentel (RRD / NeilPryde) though is getting closer and closer to his teammate and fellow countryman, after he finished second in Sylt, whilst finishing on the prestigious podium for the first time in his career. Could there soon be a new Frenchman on top the PWA Slalom rankings?

The video also features John Skye (RRD / MFC) - who like Denel, also experienced a relatively quiet ten days - Finian Maynard (RRD / Avanti), Andrea Rosati (RRD / Point-7), Arnon Dagan (RRD / NeilPryde) and the up and coming talent of Malte Reuscher (RRD / Point-7 / AL360).

Freestyle wizkid Jacopo Testa (RRD / AL360) flew the RRD flag to an all time high for him, as the twenty-one year old Italian broke into the top ten of the world for the first time in Sylt. Testa shot to stardom after his outrageous air kabikuchi went viral across the internet, and he’ll be delighted to have finally shown his undoubted talent on the competition scene.
