WHEN IT GOES WRONG

Even the pros get it wrong sometimes, crashing is the only way forwards

Dieter Van der Eyken (Starboard / Severne) achieved his highest finish to date on the PWA Freestyle World Tour, claiming fifth place for 2013. The Belgium maestro barely dropped a move whilst competing this year, but now he has just released a new video which highlights the amount of effort and training that goes into obtaining perfection, whilst also proving that the pros are human and do still crash.

Prepare yourself for two minutes of comical, yet at times extremely painful looking crashes, as Van der Eyken proves the level of dedication that is needed to make it to the very top of the sport. Never has the saying, 'no pain, no gain' rung truer, and no doubt he'll be pushing himself through the pain barrier again this winter to make sure that he's back in contention for the top five and above for the 2014 PWA Freestyle World Tour.
