Transfer Season

We start the week with more transfer related news, this time regarding promising young wave sailor - Omar Sanchez (Patrik / KA Sail). Over to KA to tell you more:

Here at KA Sail, we are very happy to finally officially announce that 23-year-old PWA wave rider Omar Sanchez (E-33), originally from Pozo Izquierdo (Gran Canaria, Spain), will be joining the KA Sail team as of 2015!

This upcoming talent joined the PWA Tour a couple of years ago and we have already seen him transform into a serious wave killer there, taking two 9th places in 2014 during PWA events in Tenerife and Gran Canaria and ending 17th in the 2014 overall rankings. Omar’s jumps are amazing to watch because of his tweaked no-holds-barred style with high completion rate, and he scores big with his excellent wave riding. This Pozo local is well known for his radical moves and hard ripping!

Watching this talented windsurfer grow since his debut in the PWA in 2007, convinced us that great results lie in Omar’s future and we are certain that with our full support and KA gear, we can help him to the next level and secure a top 10 spot in the overall PWA Wave Tour rankings for 2015!

As Omar himself commented earlier, “I would like to thank my parents and family for the support they have given me since I started windsurfing and I hope I can stay on the water forever together with my friends!” 

We certainly hope to see Omar out on the water as much as possible and wish him the best of luck on next years’ Tour! Welcome to the Team!

“The best option for me was KA Sails. I thought it is a small brand and I can grow with them. Now we’re also working on some small changes for 2016. The 2015 sails go very well and work amazing for me. Lighter, compact… I have a lot of motivation on this project and I want to thank Peter Weitenberg for trusting in me and helping me in my career.”
