None other than the king - Robby Naish - at Ho’okipa

When the 2014 Starboard Severne PWA World Cup took place last year, originally there was no sign of Robby Naish (Naish) on the entry last, however that all changed with a last minute entry and the king rolled back the years to teach his younger counterparts a thing or do in his own back yard.

Naish, is of course a legend of the sport, but at fifty-two years old he would be forgiven for being dispatched by the new generation of wave sailors. However, what actually happened was a stark contrast as he proved that age is just a number, before eventually finishing the event in a hugely impressive 7th place.

Now there is a new video of Naish sailing in his own back yard, which proves again that he is still one of the best in the business at Ho’okipa with vertical late turns in the critical section, and his iconic lay down bottom turn. Feast your eyes on 3 minutes of late cut backs and aerials as Naish shows how it’s done.
