Dany Bruch undertakes the challenge of a lifetime in the Faroe Islands

Dany Bruch (Starboard / Challenger Sails / AL360) is well known for his exploits with large waves having surfed and sailed Jaws multiple times, as well as towing into some of the biggest waves around the Canaries. However, his latest challenge saw him take on something a little different.

Bruch has always been fascinated with the Faroe Islands and wanted to become the first windsurfer in history to brave the highly unpredictable conditions. The Faroe Islands are fully exposed to the North Atlantic storms, but it isn’t just the howling winds, waves and currents that Bruch had to contend with as the crippling cold put him at serious risk of Hypothermia.
