Slalom Training

Watch the world’s fastest windsurfers preparing for the 2016 PWA Slalom World Tour in Tenerife

At the moment a whole host of the world’s elite slalom sailors are preparing for the start of the 2016 PWA Slalom World Tour in El Medano, Tenerife. The first event of the year will be held in Ulsan, South Korea, between the 12th-17th May.

Last year saw an incredibly hard set of racing with almost no easy heats anymore, such is the standard on the racing circuit at the moment, so many of the sailors are looking to find an edge by training together/against each other ahead of the season opener.

The likes of vice-world champion — Pierre Mortefon (Fanatic / North) and Matteo Iachino (Starboard / Point-7), who finished 3rd last year having led going into the final event are just two of the names among a world class training scene. Also the likes of Jordy Vonk (Fanatic / North), Marco Lang (Fanatic / North), Maciek Rutkowski (Tabou / GA Sails), Malte Reuscher (JP / NeilPryde), Andrea Cucchi (Starboard / Point-7), Nico Prien (Fanatic / North) are also battling it out.
