The best bits from Victor Fernandez’s perfect season so far

Victor Fernandez (Fanatic / NorthSails / MFC / Shamal Sunglasses) has been in superlative form so far this season, which has seen the Spaniard win both of the opening events in Pozo, Gran Canaria, and El Medano, Tenerife.

Fernandez last won the world title in 2010, but is in a commanding position heading into the third stop of the tour, which begins on the 19th September with the netIP Cold Hawaii PWA World Cup.

With the unfortunate news that Philip Köster (Starboard / Severne / Maui Ultra Fins) has been ruled out for the season, Fernandez’s lead has been extended meaning fellow countryman Alex Mussolini (RRD / RRD) is now his closest rival.
