Maciek Rutkowski swaps the slalom course for some world class Chilean waves

Maciek Rutkowski may be more known for his endeavours on the slalom course, but the Pole also has some skills in the waves and after a long season of racing he decided it was about time to put down the slalom gear and switch the waves with a recent trip to Chile.

Maciek Rutkowski (Tabou / GA Sails) about his latest video: “I’ve been dreaming about going to Chile since I saw the first video of it. Perfect lefts everywhere with good wind and no people. Nothing more to ask after a long slalom season full of ups and downs! We didn’t really get any big swells, but the waves there are so much fun we didn’t really feel unlucky. Definitely worth the expensive trip, AirFrance loosing my gear twice, and getting stuck in the sand multiple times! Now it’s time to put my head down and get back to work for the 2017 season. In the meantime sit back, put the volume up and enjoy! Oh, I almost forgot: the pink cap didn’t get used due to lack of conditions worth taking the risk of windsurfing with a broken eardrum. Too bad, I would love to see that thing in the water haha!”
