Australian Summer Dreams

Lina Erpenstein one to watch in 2017 after another successful mission to WA

Lina Erpenstein (Patrik / Severne / Maui Ultra Fins) finished last season in 6th overall on the women’s wave world tour. However, even last year the young German showed glimpses that she could be a real threat in the next few seasons as she launched into big backloop attempts and linked fluid turns.

Now the 20-year-old has another winter of Western Australia training under her belt and from the looks of her latest video ‘Australian Summer Dreams’ she’s taken her sailing to the next level again - showing no fear when it comes to launching into jumps, while delivering some powerful, fluid turns.

Lina Erpenstein: “Here’s a short clip showing some footage I could collect during the time I spent in Australia from December to February. Wind, waves, dolphins and kangaroos - We’ve had a dream season with non-stop wind and waves and I could sail at many different spots, in different conditions. A perfect trip, and it won´t be the last one, that´s for sure!
