Ben Proffitt gives a run down of the top contenders ahead of the start of the 2017 PWA Slalom World Tour

The start of the 2017 PWA Slalom World Tour is now just under a week away and the first stop of this year’s tour will see two stops in Asia - firstly with the Ulsan PWA World Cup which runs between the 3rd-8th May before heading immediately to Japan for the first event their in over 20 years.

Ben Proffitt (Simmer / Simmer Style) is the voice of the PWA and he’s just filmed a preview looking at the likely top contenders in both the men’s and women’s divisions. Matteo Iachino (Starboard / Point-7) and Sarah-Quita Offringa (Starboard / NeilPryde / Maui Ultra Fins) will start the season as favourites having been crowned world champions in 2016, but it will be interesting to see who comes flying out of the blocks when the green flag is raised.
