Road to Recovery

Injury Update with Taty Frans

Taty Frans (Starboard / GA Sails / Mystic) was injured in a high speed racing incident during the recent Fuerteventura PWA Grand Slam and now after some complications it looks as though he’s finally out of the woods and can concentrate on his recovery after an infection scare.

Update #1 - midweek

“Dreaming of it all!.

Back in the hospital and on the bed for another week or so.

It Is still far for the process of healing, it will be a long recovery, the leg still is weak and the infected blood still is draining out of the leg.

A vacuum had been added to help to suck up the blood and to help close/heal the wound.

There's not much I can say about the teared muscles as the doctors and surgeon are more concern about treating the infection and infected blood at this stage. The healing process I still going in the right direction as I have less pain and my leg is no longer that much swollen. Keep you all posted!

Update #2

“It's Thursday and this is the 4th day with the vacuum on my leg, yesterday 3 surgeons were present to look at my injury and it was all good news. The healing process is positive, clean blood, antibiotics now 2 times daily, no fever or flu, so probably I'll get to go home on Friday with the vacuum and have home care every 3-4 days..this is music to my ears. As for the torn muscles I will give an update on that as soon I have more info, but for now I feel good knowing that it's healing correctly.

I bet the wounded leg is listening to the whole world’s great energy. YEEHAW.

Positive mind, build happy thoughts and experience greatness with in time.”
