While the event site was crowded by weekend spectators, the winds kept up their shifty behaviour on the penultimate day of competition at the 2005 Costa Brava PWA Super X World Cup. Reports of sailable winds upwind in the bay caused a stir in the event camp in the afternoon, but shortly after the wind direction swung around, taking away all hope for suitable conditions for the day.

Meanwhile, Venezuela’s Alexis Zabala (V-41, Tabou/ Gaastra) talked about his history on the PWA tour so far. The interview can be found in the day 3 news section. Also make sure to check the photo gallery for the most recently updated pictures from the event.

It’s all or nothing tomorrow. The forecast indicates strong Tramontana winds in the early morning, therefore the skippers’ meeting is scheduled for 07:00 with a first possible start at 07:30. Check in tomorrow early to www.pwaworldtour.com to find out if leading Super X man Matt Pritchard (US-10, Tabou/ Gaastra) gets to defend his title here on the Spanish Costa Brava.
