Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival

Ricardo Campello Finished Last Year as the Vice-World Champion - Do You Think he Can Go One Better This Time Around? Here’s his highlights from the 2018 Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival

Ricardo Campello (Brunotti Boards) came agonisingly close to capturing his first wave world title last year, but just missed out after suffering a loss at the hands of Thomas Traversa (Tabou / GA Sails) in the Sylt Super Final. However, last year still represented an excellent year for Campello with the 33-year-old recording his best result since 2011.

Now the start of the 2019 PWA Wave season is just a few weeks away and like so many of the world’s top wave sailors, Campello is already in Gran Canaria to prepare for the 2019 Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival which starts on July 12. However, with the wind not quite playing ball at the moment that has given Campello the chance to look back on last year’s edition and put together a radical highlights showreel, which you can see @ https://youtu.be/ky-IVJx6TzY

Based on those highlights do you think Campello can go one better this time around and finally get his hands on the PWA Wave World Championship? Let us know in the comments.
