The 2006 Surf World Cup Neusiedler See – Day Four

Light winds prevail! - The Lakeside contest site here today saw sailors and spectators continue to enjoy the beach atmosphere and event sponsors ice-cream! Light gusts of offshore wind have teased for a minute or two but largely there was little change to the conditions here in Podersdorf.

Head Judge Duncan Coombs held the nine o'clock skippers meeting for competitors, and placed riders on an hourly standby should a thermal effect or any unpredicted wind arrive.

Although still a great day at the event site, it was a day that refused to yield any competition. Forecasts are unanimous in announcing that light winds will prevail throughout the week, almost certainly ruling out any chance of completing the second round of Freestyle.

Should this second round kick off, there some tough heats for even the best ranked riders. See the SINGLE ELIMINATION LADDER here to see who’ll face who in the event of suitable conditions.
