Alaçati Wind Fest

With the success of the Youth & Junior Wave events in Gran Canaria and Denmark earlier this year, the PWA is delighted to add another Youth & Junior event to the calendar - this time in Alacati, Turkey, which you may remember as Alacati hosted world class PWA events for over 10 years and was always a firm favourite with the best racers in the world due to its idyllic conditions. 

As we strive to create a stronger base for our sport in the Wave, Slalom, and Freestyle disciplines, the Alaçati Wind Fest, which will take place between 16th-20th November, will play an important role in helping to develop the next generation of racers and the PWA is happy to be able to add a Youth & Junior Slalom event in the waters of the beautiful Alaçati Bay 

Having been a stalwart on the World Tour for years, this year will see the re-emergence of Slalom in the Aegean waters with a two discipline slalom event: 1. Fin only Slalom.  2. Foil only Slalom. The youth and juniors will be able to showcase their skills where they will be the stars of the show hosted at the Cagla Kubat Windsurf Academy.  We look forward to a great event and the start of a new era in Alaçati bringing the Youth and Juniors to the forefront of the sport.
 
As previously mentioned the 2022 PWA Youth & Junior Slalom World Cup / Alaçatı Wind Fest will feature the following 2 disciplines:

1. Foil only Slalom
2. Fin only Slalom

Awards will be given to each discipline separately and sailors will be able to register for either discipline or both. Links for Event Registration and Notice of Race can be found below:
