16:17 That concludes what has been an amazing ten days of Freestyle and Slalom X here in Fuerteventura, which has seen howling winds every single day to produce arguably one of the best editions ever. A huge congratulations to Matteo Iachino who wins his first Slalom X world title and fourth overall, Pierre Mortefon for never giving up the fight to force the world title race into a decider and eventually becoming vice-world champion. And to Maciek Rutkowski, who pulls off the unlikeliest of come backs to complete the podium.Also, congrats to Brendan Lorho who wins the Under 80kg divsion afer finishing in a fantastic 12th place overall, and to Bobbi-Lynn De Jong, who wins the Under 55kg division in the Women's. Good morning and welcome to the fifth and final day of Slalom X at the 2026 Fuerteventura PWA Grand Slam, which looks set to be another windy one, although maybe not quite as windy as yesterday, which will be a welcome relief for most after some absolutely chaotic conditions on Day 4. Yesterday saw Justine Lemeteyer become Slalom X world champion for the first time in her career after producing a superb performance, which saw her win all four eliminations. Meanwhile, Matteo Iachino is on the verge of earning a fourth world title after sailing a magnificent event up to now.

In the event of there being two races completed today, then even if Pierre Mortefon wins the opening race, a top six finish would be good enough to ensure Iachino of the Slalom X world title. Because Iachino's performance has been so good this week, the most points Iachino can finish on is 16.5 points, so Pierre Mortefon would still be required to win both races and hope Iachino finishes outside the top 6 in both races - which given the form book seems highly unlikely, but not impossible…
