Good morning and welcome to Day 5 of the 2026 Fuerteventura PWA Grand Slam, which will see a Lay Day after four action packed days of Freestyle. Yesterday saw Sarah-Quita Offringa win a 17th Freestyle world title - and 29th overall - after the Aruban managed to defeat Maaike Huvermann twice in the Double Elimination to deny the 28-year-old a maiden world title. Meanwhile on Saturday Lennart Neubauer won an incredible battle against Yentel Caers to take the top spot on the Men's podium, while Balz Müller earned his first World Tour podium. There won't be any official competition today, but the Freestyle prize giving will be held at 12pm. And from tomorrow we'll be right back into the thick of the competition as the racing gets underway with the Men's and Women's Slalom X world titles on the line.
