Sunday brought an extraordinary showdown to wrap up the 2026 Cold Hawaii Youth Windsurf Wave & Slalom World Cup. The North Sea at Hanstholm unleashed full-power conditions, serving up heavy gales and massive, house-sized waves to host the third and final elimination round of the Wave division.
The young wave fleet put on a masterclass in high-performance windsurfing, charging through tight heats and displaying incredible courage and control in world-class conditions.
Major World Tour Ranking Shifts
Beyond crowning this year's Cold Hawaii champions, Sunday's results created massive shifts at the top of the overall PWA World Tour leaderboard.
Anton Richter (JP / NeilPryde / Maui Ultra Fins), Peter Gobisch (Duotone Windsurfing), and Trine Gobisch (Duotone Windsurfing) all put on dominant performances across the week. By securing victory in Thy, these three sailors have built a commanding points lead over their rivals, putting them firmly in pole position for the 2026 World Championship titles heading into the final events of the season.
The podium also featured strong local performances, with Surfklubben NASA riders Bjørn Olesen (Severne Windsurfing) battling through an ankle injury to claim second overall in U18 Boys, followed closely by teammate Jens Juul-Olsen in third
