Bijou Shahmirian (Starboard / Severne Sails) made her debut on the PWA Freestyle World Tour in 2023 as a then 16-year-old. Last year the up and coming Austrian finished seventh in Fuerteventura, before unfortunately breaking her foot during the winter. However, the good news is she's back on the water and training hard again in Melbourne, Australia.
Bijou Shahmirian: "Five months after breaking my foot, I’m finally back on the water again. First freestyle sessions, rebuilding confidence and just enjoying being out there.
On top of that, I finally committed to the forward loop. It was on my bucket list since I’m 10 years old and I landed it successfully."
