The waiting game

continues here in Vargas, Gran Canaria with wind and waves refusing to

co-operate. Eight men and four women are patiently on standby to finish

their respective single elimination competitions.

It was a frustrating day here at the Vargas, Gran Canaria, PWA Wave Grand Prix. Despite wind and waves throughout the day the conditions were marginal making it difficult to hold official competition.

It was balls to the wall action here today at the Vargas, Gran Canaria, PWA wave Grand Prix. With wind and waves building throughout the day, competition commenced early this afternoon and three rounds of the men’s single elimination were completed.

The wind has been increasing everyday so far but still hasn’t reached the level needed to produce competition conditions. The vibe on the beach is still positive and the word from the locals is that the wind and waves should pick up over the next few…
