JAWS

The day before the start of the NoveNove Maui Aloha Classic several of the world’s elite wave sailors took the opportunity to sail Jaws with a monster swell bringing Pe’ahi alive for the first time this winter.

One of those sailors was the 2014 PWA Wave World Champion — Thomas Traversa (Tabou / GA Sails) — who is well known for charging in monster waves. This was the Frenchman’s first time sailing Jaws, but he certainly didn’t take it easy and he’s just released a new video of him ripping Jaws apart.

Thomas Traversa: “At the end of October I finally saw Jaws breaking, and went out for a windsurfing session. I really hope I can sail this wave again soon or later, and try to do some better turns and airs!”
