One season, 5 World Champions, each tell their story

This year saw 5 new PWA World Champions crowned across multiple disciplines; Men's and Women's Wave, Men's and Women's Slalom and Men's Freestyle. Now you can hear from each of the World Champions as they reflect on their success for 2022.

Marcilio Browne (Goya Windsurfing) earned his second wave world title - 9 years after his first wave world title in 2013 - after producing a stellar set of performances, whilst Sarah-Quita Offringa (Starboard / NeilPryde / Maui Ultra Fins) picked up her second wave world title after winning the final event of the year in Sylt to take her overall tally to a staggering 20 world titles.

In the Women's Slalom, Marion Mortefon (Fanatic / Duotone), dominated the only event of the year in Japan in an event which produced a wide range of conditions to earn her second world title, whilst Maciek Rutkowski (FMX Racing / Challenger Sails) survived a final day rollercoaster to pick up his maiden world crown ahead of Matteo Iachino (Starboard / Severne Sails). Meanwhile, like Rutkowski, Adrien Bosson (Fanatic / Duotone / Maui Ultra Fins) became a first time world champion after claiming the narrowest of victories over Jacopo Testa (AV Boards / Point-7 / AL360) in Sylt.
