AL360 On Tour

The windsurfing accessory brand AL360 join the Professional Windsurfers Association.

With a whole host of team riders rocking the World Tour right now with their products, it was only a matter of time before AL360 signed up to the most successful and highly respected windsurfing tour on the planet. We're proud to welcome AL360 as a new corporate member, and wish their team every success for the coming season.

Those using Al360 products in waves this year included top ranked heavy hitter, Dany Bruch (Patrik, Severne, AL 360), alongside Francisco Porcella (Simmer, Dakine, MFC, AL360), Valter Scotto (Fanatic, AL360), and youngster Alessio Stillrich (Fanatic, North, AL360).

Flipping and sliding their way round the freestyle fleet with the help of AL360 was the infamous Italian I-00, Mattia Pedrani (Starboard, Simmer, Dakine, AL360), and Dominik Schonthal (Fanatic, North, AL360).

And racing hard on the slalom course we saw Marco Begalli (Starboard, NeilPryde, AL360), Greta Benvenuti (AL360), Matteo Iachino (JP, Gaastra, Mystic, AL360), Francesco Orsi (Tabou, North, AL 360), Malte Reuscher (RRD, AL360), and Dennis Muller (F2, AL360) all using AL360 products.

We caught up with Alessandro and Francesco from AL360 to find out more about their decision to join the PWA, their products, and the future of the brand…

PWA: What does AL360 represent?

AL360: At AL360 we are emerging as a reference point for windsurfers in terms of design, high quality, and reliable products. All of which are made in Italy.

PWA: What direction will the brand be heading in 2011?

AL360: We're hoping for continuous expansion into markets around the world for the 2011 season, and will launch 3 new products on the international market:

1.  A new 100% carbon wave boom redesigned in curves and diameters that will join the prestigious E3.

2. A new Race boom, which has also been redesigned so its curves keep in-tune with the evolution of new sails.

3. A new sdm mast extension that will be produced in 2 models Alu and Carbon.

PWA: What helps AL360 stand out from the crowd?

AL360: Our high standard of products, reliability, and creativity help us stand out, and all thanks to the fact that we don't have to rely on outside companies to manufacture, but instead handle everything internally, thus ensuring complete control over all stages of production. AL360 in recent years has become a reference point for many brands that have been inspired to improve their products following the evolution of our products.

PWA: Why have you decided to join the PWA?

AL360: We believe it's important for any manufacturer to support great organisations such as the PWA who help to promote windsurfing around the world.

PWA: Which of your team riders do you hope will bring you a PWA world title?

AL360: Given the great result of our rider, Dany Bruch this season, it would be great to see him in 1st place in waves for 2011!
