Transfer Season

Antoine Questel and Delphine Cousin Questel seek a Hawaiian adventure

The latest transfer news to emerge during the close season involves Antoine Questel (Starboard / S2Maui) and Delphine Cousin Questel (Starboard / S2Maui), who have both joined S2Maui in a joint move. Antoine moves on from GA Sails, while Delphine leaves Gun Sails.

Artur Szpunar on signing Antoine and Delphine: “S2Maui are very excited to announce that the French champion couple of Antoine Questel (Starboard / S2Maui) and Delphine Cousin Questel (Starboard / S2Maui) have joined our team and will be competing on the 2017 S2Maui VENOM for the entire PWA 2017 slalom tour. Antoine and Delphine have awesome potential and together with our 2017 Venom which we expect to be the lightest production race sail available, we expect great things. Please check out more about S2Maui at www.S2Maui.com and like our FB page here.“

Antoine Questel on joining S2Maui:

Why S2Maui?

My choice was clear for S2 Maui because it’s a small brand with a big potential. Artur Szpunar and Barry Spanier had a lot of experience in the past and this is why I choose to sail with S2 maui for 2017. I'm really confident about the next seasons!

Goal for 2017?

I have finished in the top 10 of the slalom PWA tour twice so my goal is to return to the top! I know my potential and I will put all the chances to record some good results.

Former world champion Delphine Cousin Questel:

Why S2 Maui ?

I liked the concept to integrate a young brand like S2Maui with all the project to promote it all around the world ! Artur and Barry have a good past to design and develop good sails so I was pretty sure about the performance of those sails ! When I tried the sails I really liked the feeling and I was ready to begin a new adventure ! I feel confident with S2Maui to conquer a new world title in slalom. The S2Maui team is really cool and it’s a pleasure for me to work with all of them to help in the development of the brand !

Goal for 2017?

My main goal for this season is to win the title of Women World Champion Slalom PWA. I would like to win the French title in slalom too. Of course, I want to continue to have the pleasure of sailing and enjoy the life I live with all the travels I am lucky to do.
