T-minus 10 Days and Counting until the Start of the GCWFF and Ben Proffitt is on Hand to Cover it all

The first PWA Wave event of the season is fast approaching and there’s now just 10 day to go before the start of the Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival. 

With the start of the competition just around the corner the majority of the world’s top wave sailors are now descending upon Pozo as they up the anti on their preparation. Luckily for us Ben Proffitt is on hand to bring you all of the latest radical action with the first installment of the 2017 Pozo Training Diaries.

Summary of Action

Ben Proffitt (Simmer / Simmer): “After a few injuries i’m a bit late to Pozo this year But i finally made it and here is the update after 3 days!

In Episode 1

– Update from the guys that came out here a few weeks ago

– 48 man fleet in pozo this year

– 30 juniors already entered

– Robby Swift (JP / NeilPryde / Mystic / SWOX) spanks himself on the first run… but then turns it around!

– Ricardo Campello (Point-7) tries to break himself with some hell crashes… but as usual lands the Jump of the day!

– Jaeger Stone (Starboard / Severne / SWOX / Shamal Windsurfing Sunglasses) goes double crazy and does the world’s lowest backloop 

– Marc Pare (Simmer / Simmer / Maui Ultra Fins)  is on form as usual

– Julien Salmonn (Severne / Severne) nails his first goiter

– Adam Lewis (Fanatic / NorthSails / SWOX) looks like he’s got over his injury and started back on the double trail

– Marino Gil (Goya Windsurfing) looking solid on his 360’s and starting to go pretty high.

– and Moritz Mauch (Severne / Severne) continues his wave shedding but not a jump in sight! …will he leave the water this year.. the beats are on!!”
