Would You Rather
Next up in our ‘Would You Rather’ series is British Wave sailor - Adam Lewis (Fanatic / Duotone / SWOX) - who has been lucky enough to spend his lockdown period in Maui, Hawaii, scoring wind and waves for much of that period. The 32-year-old earned his first podium on the Wave World Tour in 2018 - finishing 3rd in Tenerife and 6th overall. Last season the Brit just missed out on the top 10 - 12th. Over to Adam for the latest ‘Would You Rather’.
If you were reborn in a new life, would you rather be alive in the past or future?
Past maybe… I mean it would probably be pretty cool to have a look at the future, but I think probably past would be pretty cool, less rules haha
Would you rather be free or be totally safe?
Free, totally safe is not to me at all. I don’t think I'm so nuts adrenaline junky but we’re designed to analyse risk and navigate dangerous situations… If we were all totally safe we’d have never left caves haha!
Would you rather have free Wi-Fi wherever you go or have free coffee where/whenever you want?
Coffee all day… easy I’d happily have no wifi!
Would you rather lose the ability to read or lose the ability to speak?
Ohhh that’s a tough one! I actually love to read, but I think it would be pretty frustrating to not be able to vocally communicate.. so perhaps lose reading.
Would you rather spend the rest of your life with a sailboat as your home or an RV as your home?
Sailboat…. Love it!
Would you rather have unlimited international first-class tickets or never have to pay for food at restaurants?
Actually, I think nowadays we should all be a little more careful with the amount of flights we take, bit rich coming from a professional windsurfer, but I’ve been really trying to only take multi-month trips and not flit about. However that said for sure the flights still…. Actually traveling about I’ve been pretty poor with cooking a lot and the best part of the lockdown has been cooking more!
Would you rather be forced to dance every time you heard music or be forced to sing along to any song you heard?
Well I’m really not a dancer and honestly I love belting a couple of songs out in the shower…. So maybe the singing!
Would you rather travel the world for a year on a shoestring budget or stay in only one country for a year but live in luxury?
Umm well thats actually pretty difficult because I’d happily spend a year in Indo or Fiji for a year haha I don’t even need the luxury.
Would you rather have a horrible job, but be able to retire comfortably in 10 years or have your dream job, but have to work until the day you die?
Well I'm a pro windsurfer… what do you think haha I’m going to have to work everyday till I die already ahaha
Would you rather be able to land every move in the world right now and never crash again or still be able to still learn new moves, but crash 10 times more frequently than it usually takes you to land a new move?
Still crash, there is no fun if you know your going to land everything from now on…..
