Defending event champion and current World Tour leader, Sarah-Quita Offringa looks ahead to the Sylt, which starts on Friday

Sarah-Quita Offringa enjoyed a phenomenal summer, finishing second in Gran Canaria in both Wave and Slalom, whilst she went one better in Fuerteventura by winning the Slalom and securing her 14th Freestyle World title to cap a remarkable five weeks. Now after a short break, The 21-time world champion is ready to set her focus on the schauinslandreisen Windsurf World Cup Sylt - where she is the defending event champion.

Sarah-Quita Offringa (Starboard / NeilPryde / Maui Ultra Fins) ahead of Sylt: "I’ve been back home in Aruba after a 4 month travelling stint. It was super fun, but definitely challenging competing in two disciplines both in GC and Fuerte, so I really felt like I needed a break after that. I’ve not been on the water as much, but have been putting in the hours in the gym to prepare a bit more physically.

The past few years we’ve had amazing conditions for waves in Sylt, and the forecast looks exciting for this year as well. Sylt is as raw as it gets and I’m looking forward to battling it out in the North Sea again."

Make sure you stay tuned to www.pwaworldtour.com between 22nd September until the 1st October to see how all the action plays out at this year's schauinslandreisen Windsurf World Cup Sylt - where 4 fleets will be partaking - Men's Freestyle, Men's Slalom & Men's and Women's Wave.
