Biography
In 2004, I became the Danish National Champion in windsurfing. This year, I can add Nordic Champion to my list of achievements. When I first started windsurfing at the age of 12, I wouldn’t dare had dreamed it. The thought simply wouldn’t have entered my mind. Now at the age of 28 that childhood interest has become my profession. This year, I’ve set my sights on winning the World Championships. My board class, the formula hybrid class, has now been recognized as an Olympic classification. My long term goal is to compete for the gold medal at the Games in Beijing in 2008. This is my ultimate dream.
With the support of my family and friends, I stay focused on my goal. Long term goals are the most difficult to achieve. You’ve got to stay on top of it all the time, every day counts. You can’t waste a single minute. Chasing sponsorships is a full time job in itself. I’m lucky to be sponsored by world class companies, who like me, strive to be the best at whatever they do.
My dream would be fulfilled, not only with a world championship or a gold medal, but perhaps even more so if I could in some way inspire someone else in living their dream out to its fullest. If you just go after it in a structured, professional and responsible way, you can achieve anything. I’m convinced of it.
I’ll keep you posted, so check my site regularly for updates. I’ll let you know how I’m doing in ‘living my dream!’
